Price Lists

The price list software that turns worked hours into billable amounts

Different rates per role, overtime, night shifts, business trips — and every month you recompute them by hand in a spreadsheet? With Onwork Price Lists you define rates once per role, time band and destination, bound to the customer. From then on every Work Progress computes itself: hours × rate, no transcription errors.

Who uses it

Finance & admin, controllers, sales, PMs

Work Progress computed automatically

When you create a Work Progress, the system looks up the rate in the customer's Pricing and computes the amount: hours × rate. No more manual math.

A rate for every real-world scenario

Regular, overtime, night, weekend, travel: each time band has its own price. Business trip destinations override the base rates when needed.

Price history always tracked

Every edit to a Pricing creates a new revision and preserves the previous prices. You keep a reference to past rates, for audits and customer-facing transparency.

Everything Price Lists handles for you.

Operational detail, not marketing fog — every capability below is in the product today.

01

Per-role rates and time bands

Each Pricing is bound to a customer and organises hourly rates by company role, with different prices per time band.

  • Roles with base hourly rates (e.g. Developer EUR 50/h, PM EUR 80/h)
  • Built-in bands: regular, overtime, night, weekend overtime, weekend night, travel
  • Bands customisable from the calendar in the rate detail: adjust hours, add or remove bands (no overlaps allowed)

02

Destinations and travel expenses

Destinations (Domestic, International, non-EU) differentiate rates based on the business trip location.

  • The destination rate overrides the role rate: e.g. a Senior Developer at EUR 50/h regular, EUR 65/h on international trips
  • If a destination has no rate, the role's base prices apply
  • Daily expense lines auto-created per destination: per diem (EUR/day), mileage (EUR/km), public transport pass, car rental, phone top-up

03

Revisions and price history

Pricings support versioning: when you edit a Pricing, a new revision is created and the history is preserved.

  • Track price changes over time
  • Reference the prices applied in past periods
  • Audit and customer-facing transparency

How it flows

How Price Lists flows, step by step.

  1. 1

    Create the Pricing

Bind it to a customer. Your company's default rates are copied automatically, ready to customise.

  2. 2

    Define the roles

Set the base hourly rate for each company role, e.g. Developer EUR 50/h, PM EUR 80/h.

  3. 3

    Configure the time bands

Regular, overtime, night, weekend, travel. Overtime and night rates can be percentages over the regular price — they recalculate on their own.

  4. 4

    Add destinations

Domestic, International, non-EU: rates that override the role's, plus daily travel expenses (per diem, mileage, car rental).

  5. 5

    Work Progress computes itself

When you create a Work Progress, the system finds the right rate in the customer's Pricing and computes the amount: hours × rate.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about Price Lists: what it does and how it fits your workflow.

What happens if a customer has no Pricing?

The system cannot automatically compute Work Progress amounts. That's why every Pricing is bound to a customer: once the rates are defined, the hours × rate calculation happens automatically on every Work Progress.

How do overtime and night markups work?

You can set them as a percentage above the regular price: with a EUR 50/h regular rate and a 20% markup, overtime is automatically EUR 60/h. If you change the regular price, all markups recalculate on their own.

Can I apply different rates for business trips?

Yes. Each destination (e.g. Domestic, International, non-EU) can carry a rate that overrides the role's base rate, plus daily expense lines: per diem, mileage refund, public transport, car rental and phone top-up — all customisable.
